Er, that's disgusting

Well Em, way to be gory and bloody and nasty and all that fun stuff. Speaking of grotesquness, we did the eye dissection today!!!!!!! It got delayed until today because of the Laurie incident. So there is this thing that feels like plastic inside called the lens. It has many layers, like an onion. We got to peel off each layer, after reading through it. It magnified the image; it was awesome. Well, I won't get into the gooey part, but at the bach of the eye, there was this layer called the tapetum. It was shiney, and had pretty purples, blues and greens. It helps reflect light so that cows can see better in the dark. It was the neatest thing! It really helped me to understand the way the eye works. next week we get to go home to our families for break, so we won't be able to post. Jill, from the brown clan, comes from America and told us we got the tradition from the Americans. They call it "Thanksgiving break". I have "seen" a family eating thanksgiving dinner before. It looks delicious. I am very surprised that Em is actually going to bed early tonight. She just finished her little ciesta (Rory told me that's nap in spanish) and I am now being bombarded with questions about what she missed. I mean, honestly, what can happen in forty five minutes that is worth knowing? By the way, Em sooo does not take notes. She likes to think she does, but doodling in the margins of her otherwise blank piece of paper is not going to cut it. Well, see ya.
